Bushman Sands International Airport

Also known as Bushman Sands Golf Course, but get this - a pilot on a private South African flight to Port Alfred ran into turbulent weather. After circling around he realise he wasn't going to make it to Port Alfred and would have to make an emergency landing.

What better place to land than on the esteemed Bushman Sands Golf Course's immaculate fairways. Besides 10 stitches in the nose and a broken front wheel not to much damage to his 1948 vintage plane or him.

Gary Player, the course designer, would not doubt be proud of the the robustness of the fairways!

I'm always traipsing about South Africa in those flying wagons, and so have decided to start blogging about cheap flights in South Africa - the holy grail of travellers. My first entry is on the current airline price war...

Cheap Flights South Africa blog

All you South Africans out there - or wannabe South Africa tourists. I'm always traipsing around South Africa and within South Africa so I've started a Cheap Flights South Africa blog. My first entry into this blog is about the airline price war in South Africa.

More than one swallow needed

Just as a single little swallow doesn't make a summer, so a single little practise session, albeit how good, does not make one a pro golfer.
